Who We Are
Malo has spent the past several years focusing on composing music for commercials, TV and film across all genres including modern orchestral, EDM, classic rock, hip-hop, r&b, horror and southern blues/rock and has been asked to compose for many TV shows such as Americas Next Top Model, Black Ink Crew, Bring It, Guys Choice 2016, Is OJ Innocent the Missing Evidence, Just Jillian, Mob Wives, Monica the Medium, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Real Housewives of Dallas, Real World Seattle Bad Blood, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters, Short Game and Sweet Vicious.
He has also done sound design and written scores for more than 35 stage plays.
Malo is a vocalist, guitarist and composer and has had extensive experience performing nationally and internationally in several genres. He has performed both live and in the studio with numerous successful artists and producers such as Doc McKinney (producer and songwriter for The Weeknd, Drake, Usher, SZA, Maggie Rogers, MIA and Policia). He has also worked with Ali Shaheed Muhammad (Tribe Called Quest), Raphael Saadiq, Nas, Stokley (Mint Condition), The Black Crowes, Soul Asylum, Chaka Khan, Sheila E, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dead Prez and Andre Cymone.
Magpie is a singer, songwriter and producer with 20 years experience in the Music Industry and International recognition. She started her music career at the B.R.I.T school in the early 90’s and went on to sign to Polydor UK and EMI Medley In Denmark. She is a Certified Native Specialist for Native Instruments and a qualified Sound Engineer and has won a National Business Award and an Enterprising Britain Award.
Magpie has so far co-written songs with Paddy Byrne (Paloma Faith,Snakehips, Tom Grennan, Ella Eyre, Will Young, Olly Murs, Gabrielle, Sinead Harnett). Mo Pleasure (Micheal Jackson, Janet Jackson, Bette Midler, Roberta Flack, Earth,wind & Fire, Natalie Cole). Peter Biker (Chris Brown, Pitbull, Usher, Monica, Craig David, Sugababes, Jay Sean, Jamelia). Maria Christensen (Celine Dion, J-Lo, N-SYNC, Disney).
